sacraments: The Chaldean Faith
The Sacraments of the Chaldean faith are Baptism, Reconcilliation, The Eucharist, Comfirmation, Matrimony, Holy orders, Annointing of the sick.
In Baptism, the child is dipped into the baptismal font and welcomed into the Chaldean faith. After being baptised, the baby is held by the God parents. Through this Sarament, the child enters the Chaldean faith.
In Reconcilliation, the child gains the will to be forgiven for her/his sins. Through penance, he/she talks individually with the priest and the priest says the candidate must say a number of prayers for her/his forgiveness.
In the eucharist, the child consumes the body of Christ. The unleavend bread is concecrated into the body of Christ through transubstantiation as well as the wine into blood(although, only at some parishes do children drink the blood of Christ.)
In confirmation, the child is fully confirmed to be a part of the Chaldean faith. In the time of confirmation, the candidate must choose a saints name who inspires them. The bishop, wearing his mitre, places his hand on the candidates head and calling them by their saints name, welcomes them into the Chaldean faith.
In matrimony, the groom and bride both become one. Before getting married, the priest asks the congregation to speak now or forever hold your peace(to see if there are any objections against the marriage.) Then, if no objections are declared, the two are married.
In Holy orders, the candidate becomes a priest where he dedicates his life to the church. In some cases, the priest can be married but in the cases he can't, he is literally married to the church.
In Annointing of the sick, a dying person is forgiven for his/her sins by a priest.
